Family trio booked for threatening person to give false evidence  

NAKODAR 7 AUGUST 

The Nakodar Sadar police have booked a family trio on charge of threatening a person to give false evidence.

Investigating Officer (IO) Buta Ram said that the accused have been identified as Ranjit Singh son of Darshan Singh a resident of Kollar village, presently living at Aadhi village, his sons Saneh Pal alias Sanni and Sukhraj Singh alias Raja .

Balraj Singh a resident of Aadhi village, complained to the police that the accused asked him to give false evidence in a case registered against them and threatened to kill him if he did not give false evidence in their favour.

IO said a case under sections 232(1) (threatening any person to give false evidence) and 351(2) criminal intimidation) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
