Villager booked for assaulting co-villager

NAKODAR 1 AUGUST 

The Nakodar Sadar police have booked a villager on the charge of assaulting his co-villager.

Investigating officer (IO) Kulwindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Gurindar Jit Singh a resident of Gandharan village

Avtar Singh, a resident of the same village, complained to the police that the accused waylaid and attacked him with a weapon and injured him.

IO said that a case under sections 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), and 126 (wrongful restraint) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
