Two tractor drivers arrested for causing death by negligence

NAKODAR 12 JULY

The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested two tractor drivers for causing death by negligence.

Investigating Officer (IO) Sukhwindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Satnam Singh son of Banta Singh a resident of Sadik village in Farid Kot and Satnam Singh son of Balwindar Singh a resident of Gandhran village.

Harpreet Singh a resident of Billi Chuharmi village complained to the police that his brother-in-law Hardeep Singh son of Angrej Singh a resident of Khan Pur Dhadda village was going to Nakodar on his motorcycle on July 10 evening and his friends Harjot Singh son of Tirath Singh a resident of Pandher village and Pardeep Singh son of Sarabjit Singh a resident of Billi Chao were pillion riding him. He said a tractor trolley loaded with paddy husk bales being driven by  the accused Satnam Singh was going ahead of them and   when his brother in law Hardeep Singh was overtaking tractor trolly near Lidharr village bus stand and the accused Satnam Singh negligently and wrongly moved his vehicle to other side of the road and Hardeep Singh ‘s motor cycle collided with trolley and they fell on road and second trolly coming from behind being driven by the accused other Satnam Singh and loaded with maize crushed to death Hardeep Singh and Harjot Singh and seriously injured Pardeep beneath its tyres and both the accused fled from the spot .

IO said a case under sections 106(causing death by negligence) 281 (rash driving) 125A+B(causing grievous hurt) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
