PSPCL JE booked for causing death by negligence

The Lohian Khas police have booked a Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) Junior Engineer (JE) on charge of causing death by negligence.

 

Investigating Officer (IO) Harwindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as JE posted in PSPCL office Fatuwal, Kapurthala.

Paramjit Singh a resident of Ram Pur Jagir village in Kapurthala complained to the police that his son was employee of PSPCL and received a telephone call from JE on June 12 morning that a transformer in Turna village has been damaged by storm and has fell.

The complainant said his son along with his colleagues went to Turna village for repairing damaged transformer and was electrocuted and died.

IO said a case under section 106 (causing death by negligence) has been registered against concerned JE.
