Thar driver arrested for causing death by negligence

NURMAHAL 7 JUNE

The Nurmahal police have arrested a Thar driver on the charge of causing death by negligence.

Investigating officer (IO)Subash Chandar said that the accused has been identified as HamNit Singh alias Hani Bomb son of Santokh Singh a resident of Sham Pur village under Bilga police station.

Jaspal a resident of Nakodar road colony Nurmahal had  complained to the police that the accused was driving his Thar fast and negligently on May 30 evening and hit his wife Manpreet Kaur ,her sister in law Kiran and neighbour Jogindar Kaur  near a petrol pump on Nakodar Nurmahal Road and seriously injured them and his wife 7 months pregnant who had  succumbed to her injuries in a Jalandhar Hospital.

IO said a case under sections 106-A (causing death by negligence), 281 (rash driving on public roads) and 125-A,125-B (act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
