Shahkot villager booked for abetting suicide 

SHAHKOT 2 JUNE 

 The Shahkot police have booked a villager on the charges of abetting suicide.

The investigating officer (IO) Parjindar Kaur said that the accused has been identified as Joga son of Tarsem a resident of Salaichan village.

Satnam Singh a resident of Adarsh Nagar (Dhurr Kot ) Shahkot complained to the police that the accused harassed his son Harwindar Singh Laddu(19) who committed suicide on May 31 consummating sulphas and ended his life

IO said a case under sections 108(abetting suicide) of the BNS has been registered against the accused. No arrest has been made, and raids are being conducted to nab absconding accused. The body of the deceased was handed over to the family after the post-mortem.
