Woman arrested for raping minor, criminal conspiracy.

 

NURMAHAL 5 MAY

 The Bilga police have arrested a woman on charges of raping a minor and criminal conspiracy.

Investigating officer (IO) Inspector Meena Kumari said that the accused has been identified as Manpreet Kaur daughter of Malkit Singh a resident of Sango Wal village and wife of Karan a resident of Tare Wala village under Shahkot police station.

 The mother of the victim had complained to the police that the accused and her husband and another accused kidnapped   her minor daughter on the pretext of marriage on April 29 and the accused Jaspreet Singh a resident of Moga district forcibly raped her daughter on April 30

IO said that a case under section 64 (rape), 87(kidnapping to murder or for ransom) 61(2) (criminal conspiracy) 137 (2) (kidnapping) of the BNS and sections 6. of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act was against the accused and her husband and Jaspreet Singh.
