Villager booked for assaulting woman

NAKODAR 18 APRIL 

 The Mehat Pur police have booked a villager on the charge of assaulting a woman and bid to commit culpable homicide.

Investigating officer (IO) Parjindar Kaur said that the accused has been identified as Manga alias Satta a resident of Bagga village.

Paramjit Singh a resident of Kania Khurd village complained to the police that the accused attacked his wife Amarjit Kaur on April 16 when she was coming home and seriously injured her.

IO said that a case under sections110(attempt to commit culpable homicide) , 115(2),118(2) (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
