Husband booked in dowry harassment case

NURMAHAL 19 MARCH 

 The Nurmahal police have booked Lakhwindar Singh, a resident of Bagga village under Shahakot police station   in a dowry harassment case.

Anisha Ranni daughter of Charanjit Singh a resident of Dalla village under Nurmahal police station had filed a complaint to senior superintendent of police, Jalandhar (rural), that her husband had been harassing her and demanding more dowry since her marriage.

  Investigating Officer Gurnam Singh said a case under section 498-A (husband or relative of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
