Woman among seven drug peddlers arrested under NDPS Act

The Mehat Pur police arrested three drug peddlers, including a woman, on charges of selling intoxicant tablets.

Station House Officer (SHO) Pankaj Kumar said that 79 intoxicant tablets and Rs 17800 drug money were recovered from the possession of Balwindar Kaur, wife of Santa Singh, a resident of Bute Dian Chhana, and his son Paramjit Singh and alias Pamma, and 19 intoxicant tablets were recovered from Kuljit Singh, alias Babbu son of Malkit Singh a resident of Umre Wal Billa village.

SHO   stated that cases under sections 22/ 61/ 85 of the NDPS Act have been registered against the accused.

  The Nakodar Sadar and City police have arrested four drug peddlers on the charge of selling intoxicant tablets.

Investigating Officers (IO’s) Paramjit Singh and Roop Singh said that169 (119+50) intoxicant tablets were recovered from the possession of the accused, identified as Harpreet Singh alias Pita son of Gurbakash Singh and Baljindar Singh alias Billa son of Mohann Singh residents of Dhali Wal village and Navjot Singh alias Navin Giani son of Sukhwindar Singh and Sahil alias Baba alias Karrah son of Sukhwindar Ram residents of Mohalla Guru Nanak Pura Nakodar
