Many miscreants booked for affray

NAKODAR 25 FEBRUARY 

The Nakodar City police have booked many miscreants on the charge of affray.

Investigating officer (IO) Rajindar Pal Singh said that the accused has been identified Lakhbir Singh alias Lakha son of Sarabjit Singh a resident of Dherai village and his many accomplices booked accused have been members of two groups

Jasveer Singh Sarpanch of Dherai village on behalf of village residents complained to the  police that accused  were armed with weapons and played hooligans at a point on the Nakodar- Jalandhar Road between Dheria and Sianni Wal villages and created danger for residents and used filthy language.

  IO said a case under sections 194(2) (affray),79(word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of women) 296(obscene acts and songs) 191(3) (rioting)190(unlawful assembly) of the BNS has been registered against the accused and their others.
