Six booked for murder bid, firing

SHAHKOT 16 JANUARY 
The Shahkot police have booked six miscreants on the charge of attempt to murder and firing

Investigating Officer (IO) Balveer Singh said that the accused have been identified as Kamaljit, Singh,Lovpreet Singh, Raju,Durga,Gursewak Singh all residents of Bau Pur Bet and Sandeep Singh a resident of Burre Wal village.

Baljit Singh a resident of Bau Pur Bet village complained to the police that he was standing in front of his house on January 14 afternoon when

the accused started following his son Harpreet Singh who was going to Shahkot. He said all accused reached near him along with 15 others, and two have pistols who started firing at him.

The Complainant said the accused ransacked his car

, motorcycle and other materials in his house

Investigating Officer said a case under sections109(attempt to murder)333(house trespass) 324(mischief )191(3) (rioting armed with deadly weapons) 190(unlawful assembly) of the BNS and 25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against the unidentified accused.
