Husband    booked for dowry harassment 
NAKODAR 21 NOVEMBER 

 The Nakodar Sadar have booked the husband of a woman for dowry harassment.

Investigating officer (IO) Angrej Singh said that the accused has been identified as Gurshabad Preet Singh, son of Manmohan Singh, a resident of Mahun Wal village.

Manjit Kaur wife of Baljit Singh a resident of Mubarak Pur, had complained to the senior superintendent of police, Jalandhar (rural), that her daughter, Jaspreet Kaur’s marriage was solemnized with the accused, but he was harassing her daughter for bring more dowry

IO said a case under section   and 85 (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) of the BNS has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
