Paddy procurement is less than last year in Nurmahal

NURMAHAL 15 NOVEMBER 

 The total purchase of paddy by the state government and private agencies from farmers has crossed 5,63088 lakhs quintals under the jurisdiction of the Nurmahal market committee on November 13, which is less by 20 percent of the purchase last year on this date.

Committee secretary Guresh Sehgal said we are expecting a few percent more purchases of paddy this season and may not achieve the target of 702,070 lakhs of quintals purchased last year. He said this is due to a fall in yield per acre for various reasons.
