Kapurthala women booked for cheating handicapped man

 The Lohian khas police have booked a Kapurthala woman on the charge of cheating a handicapped man

Investigating officer (IO) Harwindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Shakti Salwan, wife of Mandeep Singh, a resident of Preet Nagar, Kapurthala.

Lakhwindar Singh, a resident of Gatti Peer Bakash village, complained to Jalandhar(rural) senior superintendent of police that he is a handicapped man and the accused blackmailed him on the pretext of remarriage and threatened him.

IO said that a case under section 318(4) (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property)and 351(2) (criminal intimidation ) of the BNS has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
