Villager arrested for selling illicit liquor 

NURMAHAL  5 OCTOBER

 The Nurmahal police have arrested a villager on the charge of selling country-made illicit liquor.

Investigating Officer (IO)Gurnam Singh said that 24 bottles of illicit liquor were seized from the possession of the accused, identified as Gurjit Singh of Shamshad Bad village.

IO said a case under sections 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act has been registered against the accused.
