Two miscreants booked for snatching cash

NAKODAR 5 SEPTEMBER 

The Nakodar Sadar police have booked two miscreants for snatching cash.

Investigating Officer (IO) Gurnam Singh said that the accused has been identified as Jaskaran Dhana, son of Pala, a resident of Mudh village, and Manpreet Manna,  son of Sukhdev Singh, a resident of Billi Chaharmi village in Shahkot.

Paramjit Singh, a resident of Nur Pur Chatha village, complained to the police that the accused waylaid him, threatened and attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon, and snatched Rs 8000 and a smartphone.

IO said that a case under section 309(4) (robbery) and 3(5) (committing a crime with common intention) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.

This is the second incident of snatching within three days and has created a sense of insecurity among residents and put a question mark on the police.
