Villager arrested for brewing/selling illicit liquor.

SHAHKOT 1 SEPTEMBER 

The Shahkot police have arrested a villager on charges of brewing and selling illicit liquor.

Investigating Officer (IO) Sukhwindar Singh said that 6  bottles of illicit liquor and 50 litters of Lahann (raw liquor) were recovered from the possession of the accused, identified as Harnek Singh, a resident of Talwandi Butian village.

IO said a case was registered under Section 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act against the accused.
