Villager arrested for selling illicit liquor.

NAKODAR 7 AUGUST

 The Mehat Pur police have arrested a person for selling illicit country-made liquor. Investigating Officer Avtar Lal said that 60 bottles of hooch were recovered from the possession of the accused, identified as Gurdev Rai Pur Arian Singh, a resident of Rai Pur Arian village.

IO said a case under Sections 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act has been registered against the accused and Balveer Singh of Beetalan village, who managed to flled from the spot.
