Three members of  family  booked for dowry harassment 
NAKODAR 15 JULY 

 The Nakodar Sadar police have booked three members of the in-laws’ family for dowry harassment.

Investigating officer (IO) Lovleen Kumar said that the accused has been identified as Gurwindar Singh, a resident of Begowal town in  Kapurthala (now in the USA), his father, Sulakhan Singh, and his mother, Harbhajan Kaur.

Manpreet Kaur, daughter of Shindar Singh Sukhraj Singh, a resident of Pandori Sekhan village e, complained to the senior superintendent of police, Jalandhar (rural), that her marriage was solemnized with Gurwindar Singh, but after some time, her in-laws started harassing her for dowry

IO said a case under section   406(breach of trust) and 498-A (husband or relative of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) of the IPC has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
