Seven booked for assaulting youth with  pistol butt  

SHAHKOT  14 JULY 

 The Shahkot police have booked seven miscreants on the charge of assaulting a young man with a pistol butt.

Investigating officer (IO) Sukhwindar Pal Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sahil, a resident of Said Pur village, Balli of Mehmu Wal Yusaf Pur village, Dulla of Sarangwal village, and their four unidentified accomplices.

Jagir Singh, a resident of Killi village, complained to the police that the accused waylaid his nephew and attacked him, and used a pistol butt in the crime and  threatened him with dire consequences

IO said that a case under sections 115 (2), .(voluntary causing hurt),351(3) (criminal intimidation), 126(2) (wrongful restraint), 191(3) (rioting armed with deadly weapons) and 190((unlawful assembly) of the BNS and section 25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused.

The Lohian Khas police booked two villagers for assaulting Ram Amar Singh of Mandala village, said IO Avtar Singh.
