Woman among eight booked for kidnapping woman

NAKODAR 20 JUNE 

 The Mehat Pur police have booked eight persons, including a woman, on charges of kidnapping a woman and criminal intimidation.

Investigating Officer (IO) Kashmir Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sukhi, wife of Balwindar Singh a resident of Barnala  ,Sukhwindar Singh alias Sukha son of Joga Singh a resident of Bangi Wal village  , Gagandeep Singh alias Baba son of Dalip Singh, a resident of Akbar Pur Kalan village, and their five unidentified accomplices,

Surjit Kaur, wfe of Sarabjit Singh, a resident of Sohal Khlasa  village complained to the police that the accused had kidnapped her sister Simarjit Kaur living with her, and threatened her with dire consequences

IO said a case under sections 140(1) (kidnapping or abducting to murder, etc) ,and 351(2)( criminal intimidation) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
