Ex-Clerk arrested for embezzlement.

 The Nakodar city police have arrested an ex-clerk of the block primary education office for embezzling government money while constructing a school.

Nakodar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sukhpal Singh said that the accused has been identified as Iyzah Masih, son of Darshan Masih a resident of Golden Colony, Nakodar, and an ex-clerk in the block primary education office.

  District Education Officer (elementary) Jalandhar had complained to the police that the accused and his accomplices embezzled Rs 56.23,157 during the construction of the village Aallowal telemetry school.

 DSP said that a case under section 406 (breach of trust), 409(criminal breach of trust by public servant) 420(cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code and section 13(2) 0f Prevention of Corruption Act was registered against the accused and others in February 2021.
