Seven booked for assaulting woman

SHAHKOT 20 SEPTEMBER 

The Shahkot police have booked seven miscreants for assaulting a woman.

Investigating Officer (IO) Baljit Singh said the accused have been identified as Mandeep Singh doctor ,his brother Sandip Singh, Gurmukh Singh ,Harwindar Singh ,Amarindar Singh Harpreet Singh all resident of Gehlann village and Joban a resident of Singh Pur village under Mehat Pur police station.

Jagjot Ranni wife of Sandeep Kumar a resident of Gehlann complained to the police that the accused barged into her house  and assaulted her using filthy language against her and threatened her with dire consequences.

IO said that a case under sections 333(house trespass after preparation for assault )131(punishment for assault )115(2)( voluntarily causing hurt ) 351(2)( criminal intimidation ) 352 (intentional insult with intention to provoke breach of peace  ) and 190 and 191 (3)( rioting and unlaw full assembly) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
