Miscreant arrested for snatching cash from woman

The Nurmahal police have arrested a miscreant on the charge of snatching cash from a woman

Investigating Officer (IO) Mandeep Singh said that the accused has been identified as Manpreet Amardeep alias Manu son of Subash Ram a resident of Ismail Pur village under Mehat Pur police station.

Rajwindar Kaur, wife of Har Avtar Singh a resident of Uppal Khalsa village, complained to the police that the accused and his two accomplices waylaid her on the evening of August 9 near the gate of Uppal village and snatched her purse containing Rs 4100, other documents, and her wristwatch at the point of sharp-edged weapons.

IO said a case under sections 304(snatching), and 3(5) (committing a crime with common intention) of the BNS has been registered against the accused and his two unidentified accomplices.
