Video of hoisting Khalistan flag in Nakodar school baseless: SSP   

JALANDHAR /NAKODAR 7 AUGUST

 Jalandhar (rural) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) H. S Virk said that a video was circulated on social media on August 7,  by Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a designated terrorist based in the United States, claiming that a Khalistan flag had been hoisted at Government High School, Kotla Heran village, under Nakodar Sadar police station.

  SSP said that acting promptly on the information, Onkar Singh Brar, DSP, Sub-Division Nakodar, along with the SHO of Nakodar Sadar and police teams, immediately visited the school and conducted a thorough inspection of the entire premises. During the inspection, no such flag was found anywhere on the school campus. The claim made in the video was found to be unsubstantiated during the spot verification conducted by the police. To ascertain the facts and identify the persons involved in spreading misinformation and attempting to create mischief, legal proceedings have been initiated. An FIR is being registered in this matter, and a comprehensive investigation will be conducted in accordance with the law. Appropriate legal action shall be taken against all persons found responsible during the investigation.
