Six villagers booked for assaulting co-villager

The Nakodar City police have booked six villagers on the charge of assaulting a co-villager woman.
Investigating officer (IO) Sukhwindar Pal Singh said that the accused have been identified as Viki ,Shali,Bhola,Ajay,Rangla and Sheela all residents of Khurshaid Pur village
Chhindo wife of Nassem Chand , a resident of the same village, complained to the police that the accused waylaid and attacked her on May 4 and injured and threatened her with dire consequences.
IO said that a case under sections 115(2)(voluntarily causing hurt),126 (2) (wrongful restraint),(351(1) (criminal intimidation)324(mischief) 190 ,191 (ruing and unlawful assembly) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
The Nakodar Sadar police also booked Sukhwindar Kaur and Mukhtiar Singh residents of Kotla Jangan village for assaulting Baldev Singh of Khusro Pur village in Kapurthala at his in-law’s village Kullaar on July 29 said IO Buta Ram .
