Five booked for assaulting co-villager

The Mehat Pur police have booked five villagers on the charge of assaulting a co-villager.

Investigating officer (IO) Davindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Gurwindar Singh ,Gurwindar Singh son of Puran Singh,

Harjindar Singh, Charanpreet Singh and Labh Singh all resident of Baghela village.

Narindar Pal Singh, a resident of the same village, had complained to the police that the accused attacked him with bricks on June 9 morning and seriously injured him, and threatened him with dire consequences.

IO said that a case under sections 115(2) ,117(2) (voluntarily causing grievous hurt),351(2) (criminal intimidation) 324(mischief) 190 and 191(1) (rioting unlawful assembly) of the BNS has registered against the accused.
