Woman among two booked for brewing illicit liquor

The Lohian Khas police booked two villagers including a woman on charge of brewing illicit liquor.

Investigating Officer Kashmir Singh said that 10 bottles of hooch and 200 kilograms Lahann (raw liquor) and utensils for brewing were recovered from the accused identified as Jogindar Kaur wife of Mukhtiar Singh and Pipal Singh residents of Ismail Pur village who managed to flee from the spot.

A case under section 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act has been registered against the accused.
