Shahkot village manufacturer arrested

The Shahkot police have arrested a manufacturer of illegally modified motorcycle-driven “jugaar reharris” operating on roads in the region for violating government orders.

Investigating Officer (IO) Parjindar Kaur said the accused has been identified as Mandeep Singh alias Manna son of Tarsem Lal a resident of Bahmannia village.

IO  said that the accused was manufacturing   illegally modified motorcycle-driven “jugaar reharris” and was selling these and violating orders of Punjab Transport Department and Special Director General of Police Traffic Road Safety Punjab which have banned manufacturing of these   vehicles,

IO said a case under sections 223-B (disobedience to an order duly promulgated by a public servant) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
