Mehat Pur resident arrested, couple booked for selling illicit country made liquor

The Mehat Pur police have arrested a local; resident  on charge of selling illicit country made liquor.

Investigating officer Davindar Singh said that 21 bottles of hooch were recovered from the accused, identified as Ravindar Singh a resident of Mohalla Samra, Mehat Pur

IO said a case under section 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act has been registered against the accused.

The Shahkot police booked Niranjhan Singh of Pati Haveli Malsian village and his wife Kashmiro for selling illicit liquor said IO Angrej Singh.
