Father son duo booked for cheating, criminal conspiracy

The Mehatpur police have booked a father son duo on charges of breach of trust, cheating, and criminal conspiracy.

Investigating officer (IO) Kashmir Singh said that the accused have been identified as Varindar Kumar Sekharri son of Gian Chand a resident of Mohalla Shah Salem Pour Mehat Pur and his son Dhiraj Kumar.

Rajindar Kumar a resident of the same locality complained to the police that the accused (his brother and nephew) conspired and fraudulently got registered his share of land measuring 66 Kanalas and a shop   on their names based on a power of attorney without his knowledge and did not pay him singe penny and cheated him

IO said that a case under sections 316 (1) (criminal breach of trust) 318(cheating), and 61(2) -(criminal conspiracy) of the BNS has been registered against the accused after an inquiry and further investigation is on.
