Couple booked for assaulting co-villager

The Bilga police have booked a couple on the charge of assaulting a co-villager.

Investigating officer (IO) Vijay Kumar said that the accused have been identified as Baldev Singh  son of Mohann Singh a resident of Khela village, and his wife Manjindar Kaur .

Gurmukh Singh , a resident of the same village, had complained to the police that the accused waylaid him on April 9 morning and attacked him with weapons and injured and threatened him with dire consequences.

IO said that a case under sections 115(2), (voluntarily causing grievous hurt)126(2) (wrongful restraint) ,(351(1) ,351(2) (criminal intimidation) and 3(5) (committing crime with common intention) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
