Three booked for stealing trees

SHAHKOT 11 OCTOBER

 The Shahkot police have booked three persons for stealing trees.

Investigating officer (IO) Sarwann Singh said that the accused have been identified as Deesha, son of Jogindar Pal, a resident of Gobing Nagar Shahkot, Shub Kant, son of Tarsem Lal of Mohalla Dhurr Kot Shahkot, and Dev Raj, son of Karnail, a resident of Sarang Wal village.

Kashmir Kaur, wife of Palwindar Singh, a resident of Jain Colony, Shahkot, complained to the police that the accused cut eucalyptus trees from her plot and sold them.

IO said that a case under section 303 (2) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
