Villager arrested for selling illicit   liquor 

NURMAHAL 25 JUNE

 The Nurmahal police have arrested a villager on the charge of brewing and selling illicit   liquor

Investigating officer (IO), Davindar  Singh, said 9 bottles of hooch were seized from the possession of the accused, identified as Kulwant Singh alias Kanta, a resident of Ajtanni village.

IO said a case under section 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act has been registered against the accused.
