Shahkot village youth booked for kidnapping minor

SHAHKOT 23 APRIL 

 The Shahkot    police have booked a youth on charge of kidnapping a minor.

Investigating officer (IO) Sukhwindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Manidar Singh son of Avtar Singh a resident of Buddann Wal under Shahkot police station.

The father of the victim complained to the police that accused kidnapped his minor daughter on the pretext of marriage on April 21.

IO said that a case under sections 137(2) (kidnapping) ,96(procuration of a child) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
