Five of  family booked  for assaulting 70-year-old man

 The Shahkot police have booked five members of a family on the charge of assaulting a 70-year-old co-villager.  

Investigating officer (IO)Jagdev Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sewa son of Mohinder a resident of Memhuwal Yusaf Pur village and his brothers Vero, Baljit, Sunni, and Himmat alias Pindi.

 Joginder (70) a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused barged into his house attacked him with weapons injured him on August 7 and threatened him with dire consequences.

IO said that a case under sections 323(voluntarily causing hurt) 451(house trespass )506(criminal intimidation) and 148 and 149 (rioting) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
