Two shopkeepers booked for cheating

The Bilga police have booked two Ludhiana residents on the charge of cheating.
Station House Officer (SHO) Palwindar Singh Ghuman said the accused has been identified as Mohit Vij, son of Suresh Vij, a resident of Hussain Pura locality under Salem Tabari police station, Ludhiana, and his brother, Pankaj Vij.
Sekhar Chandar, a resident of Koshal Vihar, Pataila Gate Nabha, complained to the police that he is running a pesticide and seed shop (Ganesh Kheti Centre) at Kedu Pur.
He said in his complaint that Mohit Vij is running the Krishn Seed shop at Mowai village, and he purchased 14 bags of maize seed of Bayer 91081 quality and paid Rs 2,22,500.
The complainant said he sold further 14 bags of seed but received complaints from farmers and informed Mohit Vij returned all 14 bags and demanded money back, and the accused returned Rs 10000 by Google Pay and refused to return the arrears.
Sekhar said Mohit Vij and his brother tried to attack him with a sharp-edged weapon on February 22 when he came to talk to them at Mowai shop and demanded action against the accused.
SHO said sub-inspector Kulwindar Singh investigated and sent his inquiry report further to and Senior Superintendent of police (SSP) Jalandhar (rural ) ordered registration of a case.
SHO said a case under section 318(4)(cheating and dishonesty inducing delivery of property) and section 29(3) (1) of the Insecticide Act 1968 has been registered against the accused
