Woman arrested for brewing/selling illicit   liquor 

SHAHKOT 27 JUNE 

 The Shahkot police have arrested a woman  on the charge of brewing and selling illicit   liquor

Investigating officer (IO), Angrej   Singh, said 150 liters of Lahann (raw liquor)  were seized from the possession of the accused, identified as Kulwinder Kaur alias Archana, wife of Amardeep, a resident of Eeno Wal village.

IO said a case under section 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act has been registered against the accused and her husband, who managed to flee from the spot.
