Thirteen miscreants booked for murder bid, firing
LOHIAN KHAS. 23 JUNE 

 The Lohian Khas police have booked thirteen miscreants on the charges of attempt to murder and firing.

Investigating Officer (IO) Harwindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Gurpreet Singh ,Jindar Singh ,Gurmit ,Gaddu,Premi ,Shindu Buta and Raju all resident of Ismail Pur village and their five unidentified accomplices

Jogindar Singh a resident of Pati Akal Pur Malsian village complained to the police that  he along with five members of excise department and a gunman were returning from River Sutlej   near Ismail Pur village after destroying huge quantity of Lahann (raw liquor) when   the accused attacked them with dangerous weapons  and one accused opened  fire in the air from his gun and again fired at one of them  who escaped and when we raised alarms the accused fled away .

IO  said that a case under section 109(attempt to
murder) 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 126(2) (wrongful restraint) 191(3) (rioting ) 190(unlawful assembly ) and 221(obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions )  of the BNS and sections, 61/1/14 of Excise Act and sections
25/27/54/59 /of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused
