Villager arrested for selling illicit   liquor 

NURMAHAL 11 JUNE

 The Nurmahal police have arrested a villager on the charge of selling illicit   liquor

The investigating officer (IO) Varindar Mohann  Singh said 30 bottles of hooch were seized from the possession of the accused, identified as Gurjit Singh alias Sonu, a resident of Shamsha Bad village.

IO said a case under section 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act has been registered against the accused.
