Villager arrested with illegal firearms.  

SHAHKOT 10 JUNE 

The Shahkot police have arrested a villager with illegal firearms.

Investigating officer(IO) Angrej Singh said that the accused has been identified as Prabhprit Singh alias Prabh, son of Simratjit Singh a resident of Billi Chao village under Nakodar Sadar police station.

IO said the accused was intercepted at Jalandhar Moga Highway, Shahkot, under-bridge and recovered from his car (PB06-AH-4626) a country-made pistol  (7.65 mm) and a live cartridge(7.76 MM), and an empty cartridge (7.76 mm) and registered a case under sections  25/54/59 of the Arms Act were registered against the accused.
