Woman among seven drug peddlers arrested under NDPS Act 

NAKODAR/SHAHKOT / NURMAHAL 9 JUNE 

 The Mehat Pur police have arrested two drug peddlers on the charge of intoxicant tablets.

Investigating Officer (IO)Gurnam Singh said that 110 intoxicant tablets (loose) were recovered from the possession of the accused, identified as Vishal Bawa alias Viki, son of Prem Kumar alias Papu, a resident of Khuram Pur village, and Gurmit Singh, son of Bhajan Singh, a resident of Beetalan village.

IO said a case under sections 22/61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at Nakodar Sadar police station.

The Bilga police arrested drug peddler Resham Singh, alias Topi, son of Gurmukh Singh of Burj Hassan, with 160 intoxicant tablets, said IO Kulvinder Singh

The Shahkot police arrested drug peddler Darshan Singh alias Laddu, son of Uttam Singh of Bau Pur village, 16 intoxicant tablets, said the IO, Major Pal Singh

The Lohian Khas police arrested drug peddlers Sonu Singh, son of Amar Singh of Toti village in Kapurthala, and Amrit Pal Singh, son of Jaswindar Singh, a resident of Phul Ghudu Wal village, with 109 intoxicant tablets, said IO Balveer Chand

The Nurmahal police arrested a woman drug peddler, Jaswindar Kaur alias Jassi, wife of Amarjit Ram, a resident of Pasla village, with 30 intoxicant tablets, said SHO Rakesh Kumar
