Five drug peddlers arrested under NDPS Act

The Criminal Investigation Agency of the Jalandhar(rural) police have arrested a drug peddler on the charge of selling heroin.
Investigating Officer (IO) Nirmal Singh said that 100 grams of heroin were recovered from the possession of the accused, identified as Gursharan Singh alias Sarna, son of Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Talwandi Salem village.
IO said a case under sections 21-B/61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at Nakodar Sadar police station.
The Nakodar city police arrested drug peddler Gomus, son of Yunas Masih of Baghela village under Mehat Pur police station, with 65 intoxicant tablets, said SHO Aman Sainni
The Mehat Pur police arrested drug peddler Ajay Kumar, son of Sarabjit Lal of Udho Wal, with 20 intoxicant tablets, said IO Nirnjann Singh
The Shahkot police arrested drug peddler Budh Singh, son of Kewal Singh of Bhoe Pur village, with 70 intoxicant tablets, said the IO Sukhwindar Pal Singh
The Nurmahal police arrested drug peddler Nek Chand, son of Som Nath of Gujran Mohalla, with 43 intoxicant tablets, said the SHO Krishan Gopal
