Notorious smuggler arrested with 5 kg  heroin

JALANDHAR 21 MAY 

The Jalandhar Commissionerate police have arrested a notorious smuggler with a huge quantity of heroin.

Commissioner of Police (CP) Dhanpreet Kaur told the media that 5 Kilograms of heroin and Rs 22000 drug money were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Shivam Sodhi alias Shiva, son of Varinder Sodhi, a resident of House No. 54, Simran Enclave, near Lamba Village Chowk, Jalandhar.

CP said a case under sections 21C/27A-/1-85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at Police Station Division No. 8, Jalandhar, adding that the CIA team arrested the accused against whom three cases are pending
