Jalandhar administration cancels licenses of 50 immigration firms
JALANDHAR 31 MARCH
In a major crackdown on unauthorized immigration firms, the Jalandhar Administration has cancelled the licenses of 50 such businesses in the district. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal stated that these firms had failed to renew their licenses, despite being served show-cause notices. As they did not respond to the notices, the administration took strict action and cancelled their licenses.
Dr. Aggarwal reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to protecting people from immigration firms that do not adhere to the legal norms. He urged the public to consult only registered immigration firms that have obtained proper licensing from the administration.
He further stated that the Jalandhar Administration continuously monitors all immigration firms operating in the district and takes action against those found running businesses without valid licenses. This move aims to curb fraudulent practices in the immigration sector and ensure that residents receive legitimate and transparent services.
It is pertinent to mention here that administration has placed some more licenses under review on account of irregularities on the part of firms. The DC also noted that these licenses can also be cancelled in coming days as per the guidelines fixed by Government.
Dr. Aggarwal appealed to those aspiring to go abroad to always choose legal immigration routes. He advised them to contact only registered immigration consultants, whose list is available on the websites www.jalandhar.nic.in
He also mentioned that the District Employment and Business Bureau, Jalandhar, has launched a Pre-Departure Orientation Training Program for those seeking employment abroad.
