Travel agent arrested for cheating

NURMAHAL 27 MARCH 

The Bilga police have arrested a travel agent for cheating.

Investigating Officer (IO) Vijay Kumar said that the accused has been identified as Balvir Singh alias Mintu son of Mehar Singh of Poadharra village.

Parabhdeep Singh a resident of Gumtali village had complained to the police the accused duped him of Rs 3.65 lakhs on the pretext of sending him abroad,

IO said that a case under section 406 (breach of trust). 420 (cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the accused in April 2024.
