Hoshiar Pur resident arrested for illegal sand mining

SHAHKOT 10 MARCH 

The Shahkot Bilga police have arrested a Hoshiar Pur resident on a charge of illegal sand mining.

Investigating Officer (IO) Kashmir Singh  said that  the accused has been identified  as Sukhjinder Singh alias Sukha a resident of Ghorre Waha village under Tanda police station  in Hoshiar Pur
IO said the accused was indulging in illegal sand and was selling sand at fake slips and a case
under 420(cheating ) 379 (theft) of the IPC and section 21 of the Punjab Mining Act have been registered against the
accused and impounded a tipper loaded with illegal sand and a smartphone.
