Migrant arrested two unidentified booked for illegal sand mining

NURMAHAL 19 FEBRUARY 

 The Bilga police have arrested a migrant and booked his two unidentified accomplices for illegal sand mining.

Investigating officer (IO) Ashwani Kumar said that the arrested accused has been identified as Ravinder Chaudhary a native of Jharkhand state.

Junior Engineer cum mining inspector Bist Doab Jalandhar Jaswinder Singh complained to the police that the accused and his two unidentified accomplices were indulging in extracting sand illegally using heavy machinery near Shudara village and impounded a Pork line machine and a tipper.

IO said that a case under section 21 of the Punjab Mining Act and sections 379(theft) 411(dishonestly receiving stolen property ) and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and his two unidentified accomplices and released him on bail.
