Massive response to ‘Aap di Sarkar, Aap de Dwar’ camps in Jalandhar district
JALANDHAR 6 FEBRUARY
The camps organized by the Punjab government under the campaign ‘Aap di Sarkar, Aap de Dwar’ for providing citizen-centric services to the people got a massive response on the first day.
During the camps held at 32 places in the district, a large number of people benefited especially from the various welfare schemes being run by the government.
It may be mentioned here that the district administration has decided to organize around 900 camps in the district to provide 44 types of services at people’s doorsteps.
Deputy Commissioner Mr. Vishesh Sarangal visited the camp at Kadiana village and reviewed the services being provided to the people besides interacting with them.
Deputy Commissioner said that special camps have been organized at 32 places in 6 sub-divisions of Jalandhar district including 4 camps in Jalandhar-1, 4 at Jalandhar-2, 4 at Adampur, 5 at Nakodar, 6 at Shahkot and 8 at Phillaur subdivision.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed the officials at the camps to ensure that the benefit of public welfare schemes to reach every eligible applicant.
He further said that help desks should be set up for the convenience of the applicants during the camps and they should also be assisted in filling the application forms so that maximum people to get benefit for the public welfare schemes of Punjab government through these camps.
It is to be noted that through these camps services like birth certificates, income certificates, scholarships, residence certificates, caste certificates, old age pensions, payment of bills, verification of revenue department records, marriage registration, more than one copy of death, attestation of documents. Copies, Rural Area Certificate, Fard Creation, Common Caste Certificate, Shagan Scheme, Land Marking, Countersignature of certificates, counter signature of PCC, and change in death certificate are being provided.
